Fundación Música que Humaniza visited the Gabriela Mistral Institute with the program The quartet and the secret of music, played by the Krosch Corps Quartet and accompanied by the artistic mediation of Fernando Guajardo.
About 40 students and pre-school students participated in a musical experience full of curiosity, play and joy. From the early minutes, girls and boys were attentive and enthusiastic, responding to the questions of the mediator and correctly recognizing the instruments of the string quartet, as well as the names of the composers, and even the parts of the rubbed string instruments.
Throughout the concert, the music of Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Strauss and Brahms became an opportunity to listen, imagine and participate actively. One of the most special moments occurred when the group sang the melody of Martinillo in the form of a canon next to the quartet, an activity that made it possible to explain in a simple and fun way how this musical form works.
The spontaneity of the concert also left moments of affection: after meeting Beethoven, several students began to call him "Beto," causing laughter among the public and the musicians themselves.
Between applause, singing and dance, the concert became a close and participatory experience where classical music stopped feeling distant to become something alive, fun and shared.
